meFirst and foremost, thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Katie, and I guess you can say bad luck and a horrible case of chicken pox brought me here. No, seriously. What started as a trip to the drugstore at 12 years old to grab my first foundation and concealer to cover up a chicken pox scar (which really, wasn’t even that bad) turned into the great makeup and beauty obsession I’ve founded today.

I like to consider myself a makeup and beauty enthusiast, driven by creativity and self-expression. Art and anything having to do with creating have always been a huge part of my life. So when I discovered that life changing covergirl powder foundation in the beautiful shade of ten times too dark for me, I was hooked. To all of you who accepted me throughout the years, wrong foundation shade and all, thank you. Makeup, for me, is an outlet to express myself and share my artistic talents through the art of contouring and highlighting. Oh, and I’ve gotten significantly better at picking out the right shade for me over the years.

You may already know me from Youtube, as I also make beauty/makeup/hair/tutorials .. pretty much all of the above. I don’t know why it took me so long to create a blog. BUT here I am! Embarking on yet another new journey that I hope you’ll join me on.

I also work a full-time job, started my own makeup business on the side, and I’m a first time home owner with my wonderful better half. My life is constantly busy and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m always getting myself into too many things at once, but that’s what makes Katie KATIE. I’m perfectly imperfect, with a bold personality.

Welcome to boldly beautiful.
